On April 25, MASC participated in UCLA Mixed Student Union’s Mixed Heritage Conference 2015, their second annual conference. MASC board members Monika Vega and Kiyoshi Houston presented “Your Future In The Mixed Heritage Movement” that discussed the history of the multiracial movement (in brief) and challenged people to be creative in what to do next in the movement. People paired up to come up with ideas for future action. Delivering keynotes were UCSB professor Paul Spickard and CSUN professor Teresa Williams-Leon, both long-time MASC associates. New contacts were made with student groups from USC and UC Santa Cruz. Congratulations MSU and all the emerging and thriving student groups.
