Participants Needed for Study on Racial Experiences

My name is Amanda Rivera and I am a fourth year doctoral student of clinical-community psychology at the University of La Verne. I am currently working on my doctoral dissertation, under the direct supervision of Christopher Liang, Ph.D. I am emailing you to ask for your assistance in my efforts to recruit individuals to participate in a web-based survey. To participate in the study, individuals must be 18 years or older.
The purpose of the study is to develop and conduct the initial validation of an instrument measuring racial experiences. Your participation will be an important contribution to psychological research and society by increasing our understanding of racial experiences. The study should take approximately 25-35 minutes to complete and your responses will be kept confidential. Participation in this study is voluntary and you may withdraw at any time.
This study has been approved by my University’s Institutional Review Board. The results of the study will be reported in an aggregate form, and will provide implications for psychology research and clinical settings. In addition to contributing to a greater understanding of racial experiences, participants will be entered in a raffle to win one of four $50 gift certificates to Target or Barnes and Noble.
